Our Christian Value for our new term is Respect.....find out more.

Christian values are at the heart of all we do. They underpin teaching and learning and every aspect of daily life in school.

The school's core Christian values are respect, love, honesty, forgiveness, perseverance and responsibility.  These are explored through the context of Christian belief and practice.

The values are displayed in every classroom and corridor and they help to guide the whole school community.

RESPECT

Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.

Matthew 7:12

Showing respect for others is essential in our daily lives.  It means being aware of and understanding differences in religion, race, age, gender, opinions and beliefs.  Everyone is unique and precious to God and therefore deserves to be treated with respect at all times.

At school this term we will be focusing on the Christian Value of respect. During Services, in class and at play, we will be thinking about how important it is to be respectful and, using stories from the Bible, we will think about how Jesus demonstrated responsibility. Children will be given Value Pebbles during our Good News Service if they have shown this value (or any of our Christian values) and once the Values Jar is full, they will all receive a special treat. Any member of the school community can receive or nominate children for a Values Pebble.

If you would like to explore the value further, please take look at the following websites, they may help to guide your thoughts and discussions with your child.
