Japanese students visit Y6 (16 images)

Year 6 were very excited to have 28 Japanese students come to spend a morning with us. They gave us a presentation about school life in Japan and then our children had a go at different activities such as origami. We were so proud of how welcoming and friendly our children were and they certainly deserved their reward of different types of Japanese sweets and chocolate!

As part of our World War 2 theme, we have been making clay figures to use in 'The Underground Shelter' mini movies. This involved using cameras and computer software to film scenes depicting life in the underground shelters during the Blitz. We also held a Make Do and Mend workshop which involved us making a soft toy out of a pair of socks!
