’The allocation of children to their classes each September will depend on the balance of groups in terms of ability and behaviour. If the balance is found to be correct, then classes will remain in the original class groups. If however the balance is felt to be uneven, classes will be re-structured and parents informed. Parents will be notified of their child’s next teacher in the end of year report.
The teachers are fully responsible for the educational and pastoral care of the children in their classes. Parents are welcome at all times to discuss their child’s progress or other issues of concern. Parents are encouraged to come into the playground with their children before and after school when class teachers are available should a quick discussion be necessary. It would be most helpful if you could notify the school should there be any change at home which could adversely affect your child.
Reporting to Parents
All children in the school receive a written report of their progress and achievements at the end of the Autumn and Summer term and parents are invited on specific evenings to discuss their child’s progress. Parents of children who have been assessed as part of the National Curriculum at the end of Key Stage 2 will be informed of the level attained in each subject tested.
