Parents and the School
additionWe would like you to feel part of the school, and that you are welcome in our school. We are willing to discuss any problems that you may have concerning your child's educational welfare.

Parents’ Evenings are held in the Autumn and Spring terms.  Parents have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress with the class teacher.  In the Summer, parents are invited to discuss their child’s written report if they wish and an open afternoon is held.

There is an active Parent Teacher Association which organises social and fund-raising events and provides extra resources for the children's benefit.

Most importantly, it is a source of support and encouragement.

Ways in which Parents can Help:

Encourage your child. Education is a joint enterprise.

Visit the school and join in the activities.

Offer your help and expertise.

Support educational initiatives, e.g. shared reading scheme.

Inform us of any changes which might affect your child's attitude or work.

Encourage your child to comply with school rules and support disciplinary measures where appropriate.

Give up to date information of how you can be contacted if your child is taken ill at school.

Send your child to school on time, but not too early due to absence of supervision.

Join the Parent Teacher Association.

Help in classrooms and on school study visits.
